QMUCU members are engaged in ongoing industrial action fighting for our working conditions, students’ learning conditions and the right to strike. Apart from the ongoing national dispute to defend our pensions, to fight against increasing workload, loss in real wages, gender and BAME pay gaps, QMUCU is undergoing its own local dispute. As a response to the threats posed by QMUL management of docking 100% pay to all staff engaged in strike who did not agree on making up lost teaching due to strike action, QMUCU won a historically high ballot to oppose this policy. As a result of this local dispute, colleagues are determined to take further industrial action in the comming months, while branch meetinga ttendance and union membership are rising. We will fight this together!
